Traditional Indian Pottery



Pottery is one of the most tangible and iconic element of Indian art. The origin of Indian pottery goes back to Indus Valley Civilization. Pots of different shapes and sizes are made which are used for water transportation and storage of grain,  oil, milk and curd. The pots are available in different colours such as red, orange, brown and black.


The most common states where traditional indian pottery is still in trend are Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Bengal. Today Indian pottery comes in variety of shapes and patterns.
