Coffee Art

Coffee is a very common drink which helps us in being alive and energetic all the time. it is the most commonly used nowadays, but other than drinking coffee is also used for another beautiful purpose of drawing paintings.

Coffee painting is extremely easy and enjoyable process of expressing your creativity on paper. This art basically works in monochromatic colour scheme as single colour i.e., coffee is used in it.

The materials required for this art are as follows:
1. Pure black instant coffee
2. Water
3. Water colour paper
4. Paint Brush
5. Pencil

                                     LET'S  START...

Step 1 : Prepare your coffee solution.

For this you need to make two shades of coffee solutions.
To make light shade, mix one part of coffee with two parts of water.
To make dark shade, mix two parts of coffee with one part of water.

Step 2: Sketch your composition on a paper.

Now you need to a draw something on a paper which need to be painted later on. You can draw anything which you want. At this point of time one is completely free  to use his creativity and imagination.

Step 3: Paint your sketch with a light coffee solution.

Now start painting your sketch with a light shade of coffee. Remember to evenly spread coffee so that paper won't get too wet or soft. This problem can be avoided if you will use watercolor paper.

Now let your paper dry for some time before applying dark shade.

Step 4: Apply the dark shade of coffee.

After drying your painting, you can now start applying a dark shade of coffee over it. You can use the dark shade to outline your painting, emphasize details, or to create some shades and shadows.

You can even mix the dark shade of coffee with the light shade in order to create some blending.

And there you go - a painting that creatively uses the different shades of coffee.

You might only be working with two shades of coffee, but this gives you endless possibilities for creating artworks.

To protect the painting simply put it in a glass cover.
